Eureka Clusters

Eureka Clusters are thematic programmes driven by communities of large companies, SMEs, universities, research institutes and end users. Access national funding and work alongside major industry players on close-to-market projects that meet your innovation objectives.

Information Technology for European Advancement (ITEA4)

The ITEA4 Call is an initiative as part of the Eureka Clusters Programme, which provides Singapore companies the opportunity to collaborate on software innovation projects in domains such as engineering, healthcare, manufacturing, safety and security, smart cities and energy, and smart mobility.

Singapore companies will have the opportunity to work with more than 200 MNCs and corporates through this call. This includes access partners across European MNCs, government agencies, research institutes, SMEs and universities from 35 participating countries. Companies can gain access to the innovative value chain of corporates like Bosch, Philips and Volvo.

Focus Sectors

Applications in the following sectors of software innovation are welcomed:

  • Smart cities: To support the management of cities, whether in terms of housing, energy, mobility or emergency services
  • Smart health: To propose solutions for a more efficient healthcare chain from drug and therapy design to hospitals and home care
  • Smart industry: To provide new design, manufacturing, maintenance capabilities and to support an efficient supply chain
  • Smart communities: To offer new means with greater efficiency, more personalisation and added human touch that enables the building of trust and the development of communities
  • Smart mobility: To innovate towards new sustainable transport systems and services with improved efficiency, autonomy and energy consumption
  • Smart energy: To develop green energy sources and energy distribution networks and to improve energy efficiency for a more sustainability society
  • Smart engineering: To expand our capability to engineer complex systems and software
  • Safety and security: To increase the resilience of critical systems and to protect against cyber attacks

The call for applications runs from 13 September 2022 to 15 November 2022, and will close on 15 November 2022, 2300 hrs (SGT, GMT+8).

Who can apply

The consortium must comprise at least one Singapore company and one company from another participating country. Both companies must be independent from one another. Companies are encouraged to collaborate with a mix of SMEs, large companies, and research performers, subject to each country’s national funding regulations.

Singapore companies must meet the eligibility criteria for the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) in order to apply. For non-Singapore companies, they should consult with their respective funding bodies on their eligibility.

How to apply

  1. Singapore companies will be required to fill up an online preliminary interest form here.
  2. Thereafter, companies will be advised on the next steps of application should applicants meet the eligibility requirements.

While the deadline for submission is 15 November 2022, we highly recommend submitting by end-October to ensure that there is sufficient time to make any necessary amendments. For further assistance, companies can contact Enterprise Singapore via email at KOE_Zi_Yan@enterprisesg.gov.sg.
