DayDayUp

DayDayUp (DDU) is Enterprise Singapore’s Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partner in Beijing, China. It is a technology accelerator focusing on 5G, AI, blockchain, cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and mobile internet. It connects corporates, startups and investors with one another through its own programmes. It has accelerated around 150 startups since its founding, the majority of which are international startups. DayDayUp’s network of investors includes MFund and Light-Up Capital. Its clients include Airbus, Decathlon, Dyson, among other names.

DayDayUp is partnering Enterprise Singapore to run an acceleration programme that will support

  • Singapore-based technology startups and SMEs in reaching out to the Chinese market through Beijing; and
  • Chinese startups in scaling up in Asia by using Singapore as a springboard to the rest of the region.

Applications for the China-Singapore Innovation Acceleration Programme are now open. Interested applicants can apply for the China-Singapore Innovation Acceleration Programme here.

China-Singapore Innovation Acceleration Programme

The China-Singapore Innovation Acceleration Programme is designed to help Singapore-based technology startups and SMEs set up, test-bed, commercialise their solutions, and co-innovate with partners in Beijing through a series of highly customised programmes and activities. It will provide participants with access to the Chinese market, including introductions to potential investors, partners, customers, and talent resources.

Virtual programme

As a result of the situation brought about by COVID-19, the China-Singapore Innovation Acceleration Programme has been revised to the following:

  • Six-week virtual programme

  • The programme includes workshops on China’s cutting-edge technology innovation and market trends, delivered by China’s technology giants and well-known investors; one-to-one customised meetings with potential partners and investors, and Singapore Innovation Demo Day where participants will pitch to potential partners and investors.

The total programme fee is $3,600 per startup or SME, after support from Enterprise Singapore.

Physical programme

The programme has two stages:

  • Stage 1: Preparing you for China (three days in Singapore)

  • DayDayUp will conduct a three-day programme in Singapore to provide participants with preliminary knowledge about the Chinese market. The programme includes lectures by DDU’s experts on doing business in China, as well as one-on-one meetings between the participants and the DayDayUp team. In addition to introducing participants to China, the programme aims to understand participants’ needs and curate a customised plan for each of them.

  • Stage 2: Exploring in-market China opportunities (eight days in China)

  • DayDayUp will conduct an eight-day programme in Beijing, China, which comprises three days of group activities and five days of customised activities. The former includes lectures, visits, engagement sessions with key contacts and a Demo Day. Examples of companies that participants will visit and interact with include ByteDance, Megvii, Meituan Dianping, and Xiaomi. The group activities will be followed by customised activities for each participant, including one-on-one meetings or curated visits based on the needs of the participant.

The total programme fee is S$4,800 per startup or SME, after support from Enterprise Singapore.
