Plug and Play is Enterprise Singapore’s Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partner in Jakarta, Indonesia.
It is a stage-agnostic open innovation platform that runs accelerator programmes and corporate innovation activities in more than five countries and 28 cities globally. It was founded in 2006 in California by Saeed Amidi and Jojo Flores. Presently, Plug and Play has around 400 employees, made more than 1,000 investments, and has a global network of over 300 corporate partners.
Plug and Play is partnering Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to run a GIA Acceleration and Demand-led Programme, which will support Singapore-based technology startups or SMEs in entering Indonesia through Jakarta.
The GIA Acceleration Programme to Jakarta is curated for high-potential startups and tech SMEs across all sectors, and will include rigorous growth training, market immersion and ongoing mentorship.
As a result of the situation brought about by COVID-19, the Jakarta GIA Acceleration Programme has been revised to the following:
The total programme fees are $1,000 for Stage 1 and $1,000 for Stage 2.

Alongside Enterprise Singapore and in partnership with IMDA, Plug and Play also organises the GIA Demand-led Programme - Tech Showcase. This offers business and investment matching opportunities that allow participants to form new collaborations with Indonesian corporates.
The GIA Demand-led Programme will give technology startups and SMEs the opportunity to submit solutions to problem statements generated by Plug and Play’s network of corporates.
Typically run as a full-day programme, the Jakarta GIA Demand-led Programme has been revised as a result of the situation brought about by COVID-19, and will now take place virtually, with various business matching sessions taking place within the span of 1 month.

In 2016, Plug and Play collaborated with investment firm Gan Konsulindo to establish GK-Plug and Play Indonesia.
