Plug and Play

Plug and Play APAC is Enterprise Singapore’s Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partner in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Plug and Play APAC is a stage-agnostic open innovation platform that runs accelerator programmes and corporate innovation activities in more than 35 locations globally. It was founded in 2006 in California by Saeed Amidi and Jojo Flores. Presently, Plug and Play has made more than 1,000 investments, and has a global network of over 500 corporate partners.

Plug and Play APAC is partnering Enterprise Singapore and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to run a GIA Acceleration Programme to support Singapore-based technology startups or SMEs in entering Indonesia through Jakarta.

Applications for the GIA Jakarta Acceleration Programme are now closed. Interested applicants can register your interest here, and we will reach out when we have available programmes in Jakarta.

GIA Acceleration Programme to Jakarta

The GIA Acceleration Programme to Jakarta is curated for high-potential tech startups and SMEs across all sectors, and will include rigorous growth training, market immersion to Jakarta and ongoing mentorship.

The GIA Jakarta Acceleration Programme will be offered in a hybrid format. Workshops and introductory meetings will be conducted virtually, before the cohort flies to Jakarta for the physical immersion programme.

Hybrid programme

The programme starts with a “Preparation” phase, covering workshops, pitch polishing sessions, 1:1 mentorship sessions and introductory meetings with prospective partners to position you for success in Jakarta.

Participants will then join a one-week “Immersion” phase in Jakarta, to continue curated in-depth business discussions and engage with the ecosystem partners, corporates and investors in Indonesia. This immersion will provide participants with a better understanding of the market and help you further refine your expansion plans to Indonesia.

Upon return to Singapore, participants will have the opportunity to pitch at Plug and Play’s APAC Summit and continue to have deal flows facilitated by the GIA Jakarta team from Plug and Play. All participants will be guaranteed at least five in-depth business leads with prospective partners from Jakarta.

  • Overview of Programme:
    • Weeks 1 & 2 - Virtual
Onboarding, Ventures Assessment, Market Preparatory Workshops, Pitching to Investors
    • Week 3 – Physical in Jakarta
