Application Process

To apply for GRT internship grant, companies would need to complete a 3-phase application process:

Phase 1: Application to be a Participating Company on GRT
 

Step 1: Create an account on GRTNet

  • Create an account using your CorpPass login
  • Ensure that you have authorised the relevant personnel to perform transactions on GRTNet on CorpPass

Step 2: Complete GRT company application and upload mandatory supporting documents

  • Complete the full GRT company application on GRTNet
    • Company details (i.e. Company Description, Group Employment Size, Overseas presence (if applicable), Holding Company and Subsidiaries Details)
    • HR Survey
  • Select preferred GRT TAC AIP partner of your choice
  • Attach mandatory supporting documents:
    • ACRA (within six months)
    • Latest Financial Statements (within 18 months):

Step 3: Receive an email confirmation on the outcome of your application

  • If your application is successful, you will receive an email informing you that your company is now approved under GRT
  • You will now be eligible to apply for GRT grant support for the approved period

Phase 2: Posting of Internship Position
 

(Posting of internship position is a pre-requisite for the internship grant application)

Step 1: Create a new internship position on GRTNet

  • Fill in all required information for the creation of new internship position
    • Internship details
      • Internship type
      • Preferred IHL level
      • Internship duration
      • Location/Destination
      • Number of positions available
    • Job scope
      • Job title
      • Roles & responsibilities
      • Learning outcomes

Step 2: Obtain Internship Placement

  • Upon approval of internship position, you will be eligible to apply for GRT grant support for the position posted
  • Contact the relevant Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) for an internship placement
  • Please obtain an Internship Placement Letter from the IHL upon successful internship placement
Phase 3: GRT Internship Grant Application
 

(Internship grant application would need to be submitted at least seven working days before internship commencement date)

Step 1: Prepare all the necessary supporting documents

*Please prepare the following mandatory documents for each intern before you proceed (documents are to be in PDF, DOC, XLS, XLSX formats for upload to GRTNet):

  • A Copy of the Internship Placement Letter/Email (issued by the school) with the following details:
    • Company Name
    • Intern’s Name and NRIC
    • Internship duration (Including start and end date)
    • Internship monthly stipend aligned to GRT (Internship) terms (Minimum $800 per month for ITE and polytechnic students and minimum $1,000 per month for university students)
  • Copy of the NRIC (front and back) of each intern
  • Intern's year of study and current semester
  • Intern's contact number and email address

Step 2: Log in to GRTNet using your CorpPass account

Step 3: Complete internship grant application and upload supporting documents

  • Ensure that all the required supporting documents and details are included in your application to avoid delays

Step 4: Acceptance of Letter of Offer (LOF)

  • If your internship placement is approved, you will receive a notification email with a Letter of Offer (LOF) attached
  • Log in to GRTNet and accept the LOF if you are agreeable to the terms and conditions of the internship offer and print the confirmation receipt for your future reference.
  • Please inform your interns in advance that they would need to obtain their SingPass account details to login to the GRT portal to complete an online student feedback and upload the student internship report by the end of the internship.
  • You must ensure that each intern completes the online student feedback form by the end of the internship or you WILL NOT be able to submit your GRT internship claim
