Overseas Market Workshops

Overview
 

Overseas Market Workshops (OMWs) provides you with in-market exploration and learning opportunities, especially if you are at the initial stages of venturing into an overseas market.

The intent of OMW is to:

  1. Provide a structured learning environment for companies with little to no international presence, to take the first step in your internationalisation journey;
  2. Provide preliminary market overview on the overseas market of interest and to help you better assess the suitability to enter and
  3. Provide guidance on relevant next steps you can take in your internationalisation journey.
Programme
 

Overseas Market Workshops (OMWs) are typically designed to be 5-10 days in duration, depending on the overseas market.

Details:

  • Structured formal learning by market experts
  • Experiential learning from corporate or site visits
  • Peer learning, networking and connection building with either local governments and businesses or both
Eligibility
 

To qualify for OMW support, your business must be incorporated/registered and based in Singapore, and must have at least three of the following core business functions/ activities operated from Singapore:

  • Market development and planning.
  • Logistics and shipping management.
  • Research and development and design functions.
  • Manufacturing and other value-added activity.
  • Business and investment planning.
  • Banking, financial and treasury functions.
Funding
 

Companies may receive up to 70% funding support on the course fees if the trip participant is an employee who is a Singaporean/Permanent Resident.
