During the testing of this sample, it was found that the product did not comply with the safety and informational requirements for soother holders:
  • EN 12586:2007+A1:2011 – Child use and care articles – Soother holder – Safety requirements and test methods.

The ventilation holes on the soother holder are not sufficiently large, posing a suffocation hazard.


The soother holder is too long, posing a strangulation hazard.


The soother holder has small parts which can be detached easily; these parts pose a choking hazard.

The soother holder is too long, posing a strangulation hazard.


The soother holder has small parts (including the fastener) which can be detached easily; these parts pose a choking hazard. The entire soother holder can also break apart easily.


There are openings on the soother holder that pose a finger entrapment hazard.


The exposed cord of the soother holder is thin and long enough to pose a strangulation hazard.

Philips Avent has announced a voluntary recall for the Digital Video Baby Monitor (SCD620). The battery in the parent unit may overheat while plugged into the electrical connection, posing a fire hazard.

Decathlon has announced a voluntary recall of the Baby Seat 100 Bclip. The attachment point of the child’s buckle may break if a turquoise blue line appears on the front of the black buckle.
