On 26 August 2025, Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, delivered the opening speech at the 8th Africa Singapore Business Forum (ASBF).
Minister Fu outlined three potential areas of collaboration between Africa and Southeast Asia. Firstly, fostering institutional linkages between both regions to promote trade, investments, and sustainability. Secondly, strengthening commercial linkages between Africa and Singapore to reap mutual benefits. Lastly, deepening people-to-people linkages between Africa and Southeast Asia. Minister Fu encouraged participants to use the ASBF as a launchpad and forge new partnerships.
