About this programme

Organised by XNode, the GIA Shenzhen Acceleration Programme is a curated four to six-week programme aimed at helping Singapore-based tech startups and SMEs accelerate their expansion into China through Shenzhen. Participants will get to take part in workshops and networking sessions, and undergo mentoring by industry experts.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the programme will be conducted virtually.

Four to six-week virtual programme
To build their market knowledge and presence, participants will get to take part in workshops, networking and business matching sessions. They will also get to undergo mentoring by industry experts and participate in demo days.

Two-week in-market immersion
When travel resumes, participants will have the option to participate in a trip to Shenzhen hosted by XNode, to visit potential clients and follow up with expansion plans.

Key features

  • Dedicated acceleration manager
    Each participant will be assigned an acceleration manager to help with validating product-market fit, reviewing go-to-market strategy and facilitating business meetings.
  • 1-to-1 business meetings and mentoring sessions
    Participants will undergo mentoring by XNode's entrepreneurs-in-residence, who have deep industry expertise and networks. Participants will also be connected to potential clients, partners and investors.
  • Access to XNode's content library and alumni network
    Participants will gain a deeper understanding of China's business environment and regulations, and be connected to like-minded individuals in XNode's alumni network.


  • Business entity registered and operating in Singapore
  • Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership
  • Has a validated and competitive value proposition
  • Able to deliver value proposition to other businesses (B2B)
  • Generating revenue in Singapore and/or Southeast Asia
