GIA Bangalore Acceleration Programme

The GIA Bangalore Acceleration Programme will enable technology startups from specific sectors to explore the Indian market and find out more about the business potential for their technologies.

The programme is divided into two phases. Phase 1 is a 4-week structured programme that provides market insights and networks. Phase 2 is an optional continuation that offers customised market access support over a 3-month period.

Phase 1

Phase 1 is a 4-week structured programme, which seeks to identify participants’ business needs and provide market knowledge and connections that address those needs. The first three weeks are online and the last week will be conducted in-market.

  1. Week 1 – Prework and business diagnosis
Anthill will define and assess participants’ business objectives. The findings will then be used to match participants with corporates with strategic alignment. At this stage, Anthill will develop a one-page pitch deck to outreach and prospect these corporates. Anthill will also use the findings of the business diagnosis to tailor knowledge sessions for the participants.

  2. Week 2 – Market immersion workshops and advisory sessions
Anthill will arrange a comprehensive set of workshops to address the needs of participants’ market entry. The topics will include corporate set-up, business culture, marketing and pricing strategy, fund raising, regulations, and staff recruitment. There will also be pitch clinics and interactive sessions with successful founders.

  3. Week 3 – Curated market access calls
Through the lead generation efforts, Anthill will arrange virtual meetings with the corporates. Throughout the process, a dedicated mentor will be attached to each participant to provide learning and advisory.

  4. Week 4 – In-market meetings and field study
Building on the efforts of the first three weeks, Anthill will arrange a physical trip for participants to have second level meetings – with leads generated during the virtual sessions – and conduct field visits to better understand the ecosystem. In this process, Anthill will provide a supporting representative and a workspace for participants during their business trip.

A networking session will also be arranged for participants to meet founders, investors and corporates.

Phase 2

This Phase 2 programme seeks to support participants in their efforts to gain market access and clinch business deals. It builds upon the traction gained from Phase 1 of the programme, and seeks to materialise the business outcome.

Phase 2 is a customised programme which includes the following:

  1. Conversion of business leads and expansion of networks
For existing leads, Anthill will provide targeted assistance to assess and close business leads. This includes helping startups to refine their pitch decks. In addition, Anthill will build a pipeline of connections, which will include corporate clients, investors, and other connections based on the participant’s needs. The business development activities will cumulate to a large format demo day, where participants can pitch to an audience of corporates and investors.

  2. Mentorship
Participants will have access to up to 15 hours of mentorship, which they can leverage based on their needs. For example, they may engage the mentor to arrange for corporate connections and refine their pitches.

  3. In-market programme, workspace and support
Anthill will deliver a two-week intensive programme which will help participants develop their go-to-market strategy, pitch decks, and networks. Subsequently, Anthill will arrange a workspace for participants to physically work in Bangalore throughout the duration of the programme.
