Economic ties between Singapore and Guangdong remained strong, as Guangdong continues to be Singapore’s top Chinese provincial trading partner for 34 consecutive years. Two-way trade grew 17% year on year to reach a record US$23.1 billion in 2022. Bilateral trade also jumped 54% in 1Q 2023 from a year earlier to reach US$ 6.7 billion, following the reopening of China.
