On 25 August 2026, Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and National Development, delivered remarks at the 16th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council (SGCC) meeting.
MOS Tan noted the continued progress of key bilateral projects – the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) and the Singapore-China (Shenzhen) Smart City Initiative – and Singapore companies’ scaling up their presence in Guangdong. He further highlighted opportunities to deepen two-way collaboration in the built environment, financial services and tourism, as well as the importance of talent exchanges in strengthening economic cooperation.
