: Opening address by Enterprise Singapore Director-General Ms Choy Sauw Kook at Standards & Conformance Summit 2026
On 12 June 2026, Ms Choy Sauw Kook, Director-General (Quality & Excellence) of Enterprise Singapore, delivered an opening address at the Standards and Conformance (S&C) Summit 2026. She reflected on Singapore’s S&C community's journey from participant to contributor in shaping international standards, noting that the system of trust built across borders is something none of us can achieve alone.
She also outlined three areas where the community must keep pace with change: digitalisation, innovation across borders, and sustainability. Across all three, she shared that the stakes are ultimately about trust – that what is measured is accurate, what is certified is safe, and what is agreed upon holds across borders.
