: Keynote Speech by Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, at the GenZero Climate Summit 2026
On 19 May 2026, Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, delivered the keynote speech at the GenZero Climate Summit 2026. He shared that addressing the global climate challenge will involve collaborations across technology, finance, and innovation. On this front, Singapore must sustain momentum on climate action, even in a more uncertain global environment; strengthen trust and credibility across carbon markets to build a reliable foundation; and build stronger partnerships to scale climate solutions effectively.
To aggregate corporate demand for high-integrity carbon credits, MOS Tan announced the launch of the Action for a Resilient Climate Coalition (ARC) Coalition. With the support of Bain & Company, Carbon Growth Partners, CATL, Climate Bridge International, Climate Impact X, Enterprise Singapore, GenZero, Mitsubishi Corporation, Osaka Gas, Rubicon Carbon, Tencent, Vale and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Singapore, the initiative brings together forward-thinking corporate buyers who are serious about their decarbonisation journey and who support the use of high-integrity carbon credits to complement their direct emission reduction efforts.
