: Keynote Address by Managing Director Cindy Khoo at the Cocoa Association of Asia's International Cocoa Conference 2026
On 2 September 2026, Ms Cindy Khoo, Managing Director of Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG), delivered the keynote address at the Cocoa Association of Asia's (CAA) International Cocoa Conference 2026. She shared that while the cocoa industry faces real headwinds, it can also tap new opportunities. An agile cocoa future will ride on three imperatives.
Firstly, companies should trade smarter – amid ongoing market volatility, companies that thrive will be those that build information advantages, risk management capabilities and financing structures to turn uncertainties into opportunities. Secondly, they should innovate faster – as consumer expectations shift and supply chains come under pressure, companies must build capabilities to adapt quickly. Finally, sustainability is a shared responsibility – hence, companies should tap carbon markets, green financing and traceability tools to support the next chapter of sustainable growth for the cocoa industry.
