: Opening address by Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth at the 2026 SME Centre Conference
On 9 September 2026, Ms Low Yen Ling, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Trade and Industry & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth, delivered an opening address at the 13th SME Centre Conference themed "Vision to Action: AI Adoption for SMEs".
SMS Low announced the launch of BizSG, a new whole-of-government AI-powered initiative that aims to transform how the Government supports businesses and make it easier for them to find support, information and services. This includes a grant recommender that surfaces relevant grants based on a company’s profile and business plans. One of which is EDGE grant, that covers over 150 supportable activities across eight business areas. She also announced the refreshed ELT programme, which will now pair each participating SME leader with a dedicated Business Advisor to provide hands-on support at every stage of their growth journey.
