: Remarks by Minister for Law Edwin Tong at EnterpriseSG's Boston Overseas Centre Launch
On 9 September 2026, Minister for Law Edwin Tong delivered a speech at the launch of Enterprise Singapore’s (EnterpriseSG) Boston Overseas Centre.
Against a more complex and less predictable global economy, Minister Tong underscored Singapore’s commitment to staying open, diversifying its economic links and strengthening partnerships that create more opportunities for its companies. He highlighted the complementary strengths between Singapore and Massachusetts in innovation, advanced manufacturing and connectivity, which provide opportunities for companies from both sides to collaborate and grow. The new Boston Overseas Centre, together with EnterpriseSG’s first state-level partnership in the US with the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, will serve as important bridges to turn these synergies into stronger business and innovation partnerships.
