Led by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), CORENET X is a digital platform which transforms the regulatory approval process for building works.
CORENET X consolidates more than 20 approval touchpoints across multiple government agencies into three main submission gateways:
- Design;
- Construction; and
- Occupation Permit/Statutory Completion.
This allows consultants to put up coordinated submissions and receive consolidated replies from different agencies, instead of having to liaise with each agency separately. Projects can save up to 20% in the overall time taken to obtain regulatory approvals throughout the project timeline.
Agencies have continued to enhance CORENET X to address the industry’s feedback. Some of the enhancement efforts include:
- Improved tracking of approvals
- A new dashboard for project team (such as developers and consultants) to track the approval status of approvals needed for Temporary Occupation Permits (TOP) or Certificates of Statutory Completion (CSC).
- One-time data provision to multiple agencies
- Consultants only need to provide project information once instead of having to fill in multiple forms.
- Concurrent submissions to reduce waiting time
- Concurrent submissions for Design and Piling gateway instead of waiting for one submission to be approved before submitting the next one.
- Concurrent applications for demolition and new erection, which allows for site preparation to commence earlier.
- Streamlined payment process across agencies
- Agencies will start processing submissions once proof of payment is provided for bank transfers. Currently, agencies are required to validate the payments received before they start submissions.
