GIA Bangalore Acceleration Programme

About this programme

Organised by Anthill Ventures, the GIA Bangalore Acceleration Programme aims to help technology startups from specific sectors explore the India market and find out more about the business potential for their technologies.

It consists of two phases:

Phase 1
A four-week structured programme which seeks to identify participant’s business needs and provide market knowledge and connections that address them. The first three weeks are conducted online and the last week is held in-market.

Phase 2
An optional three-month programme for participants of Phase 1, this is aimed at helping participants gain market access and clinch business deals by building upon the traction gained in Phase 1.

Key features

  • Tailored programme
    Each participant's business objectives will be assessed, so that knowledge sessions can be curated to cater to their needs. In addition, participants will be matched with corporates with strategic alignment.
  • Market immersion workshops and advisory sessions
    Comprehensive workshops will be held to address the key needs of market entry, from marketing and pricing strategy, to fundraising, regulations and talent recruitment. There will also be pitch clinics and interactive sessions with successful founders.
  • Curated market access calls
    Participants will get to meet corporates and potential leads virtually, with a dedicated mentor attached to each participant to provide advice.
  • In-market meetings and field study

    Through a physical trip, participants will get to have second-level meetings with leads generated during the virtual sessions, and conduct field visits to better understand the ecosystem. They will be supported by an Anthill representative and have a workspace.

    A networking session will also be arranged for participants to meet founders, investors and corporates.

  • Business lead conversion and network expansion (Phase 2)
    Participants will receive targeted assistance from Anthill to assess and close business leads. They will also get to take part in a large-format demo day, to pitch to an audience of corporates, investors and other key connections.
  • Mentorship (Phase 2)
    Participants will have access to up to 15 hours of mentorship, which they can leverage based on their needs. For example, they may engage the mentor to arrange for corporate connections and refine their pitches.
  • In-market programme and support (Phase 2)
    Through an intensive two-week programme, participants will receive help to develop their go-to-market strategy, pitch decks and networks. They will also have a space in Bangalore to work from during the programme.

Eligibility

  • Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership
  • Has a minimum viable product with existing customers and/or partners
