About this programme
The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) aims to help businesses in the Food Services, Food Manufacturing and Retail sectors cope with rising energy costs through co-funding support to invest in energy-efficient equipment.
The EEG will provide up to 70% support for SMEs to adopt pre-approved energy-efficient equipment in the following categories: LED lighting, air-conditioners, cooking hobs, refrigerators, water heaters and clothes dryers. Grant support for qualifying costs will be capped at S$30,000¹ per company per year.
The list of supported equipment can be found here.
You may refer to the EEG Application Checklist for some tips on how to prepare for your EEG application process.
How to apply
Companies must not have made any payment and/or any form of deposit to a supplier, vendor or third party prior to the EEG application. Otherwise, the application may be rejected.
Companies will have up to 1 year from the time an application is approved to purchase and install² the equipment, and submit claims for reimbursement. Once an application has been submitted, companies may choose to purchase the equipment before the application outcome. However, companies will not be able to make subsequent claims if the application is unsuccessful.
