Eureka Singapore-Canada Bilateral Call
For local startups to partner with Canadian companies on joint innovation projects for R&D, commercialisation and business expansion.
For Singapore companies, up to 70% of the project costs may be supported. Singapore enterprises and their Canadian counterpart(s) should put in a joint application for the proposal to be considered.
About this programme
The Eureka Singapore-Canada Bilateral Call is jointly administered by Enterprise Singapore and the Global Affairs Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service in partnership with the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).
This programme aims to encourage the development of ready-to-market solutions for products, technology-based services or methods that have strong commercial potential.
Singapore companies keen to embark on co-innovation projects with Canadian companies can now receive support by participating in a joint call for proposals for Singapore-Canada technological R&D projects.

Global Affairs Canada (GAC)
GAC, under the leadership of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development, and the Minister of International Development, and the Minister of International Development, is responsible for advancing Canada’s international relations, including:
- Developing and implementing foreign policy
- Fostering the development of international law, international trade and commerce
- Overseeing the Government of Canada’s global network of missions abroad; and more.
National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP)
The NRC IRAP is Canada’s leading innovation assistance programme for small and medium-sized businesses, through financial assistance, advisory services and connections to business and R&D expertise in Canada.
Eligibility
All Singapore companies must meet all of the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:

Business entity registered and operating in Singapore -
Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership

Company is financially ready to start and complete the project
