About this programme
The Germany-Singapore SME Funding Programme (GSFP) is jointly administered by Enterprise Singapore and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) in Germany. This programme is focused on encouraging the development of innovative products, services, processes or solutions that have strong market potential for Germany, Singapore or the international market.
Singapore companies keen to embark on joint innovation projects with German companies can now receive support by participating in this call for proposals for joint innovation and R&D projects from any sector or technological applications.
About BMWK and AiF Projekt GmbH
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) is a cabinet-level ministry responsible for the economic prosperity of Germany with the broad participation of all citizens, as well as for a modern system of economic relations.
AiF Projekt GmbHAiF Projekt GmbH is the appointed project management agency for Germany’s Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM).
BMWK and its coordinator AiF Projekt GmbH have set up the Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) to foster market-driven technology-based R&D projects by individuals and/or cooperation networks in all technologies and sectors. ZIM is Germany’s largest innovation funding programme for SMEs.
Eligibility
The project consortium must involve at least one company from Singapore and one company from Germany. Both companies should be independent from each other. Each project partner should contribute no more than 70% of the total project contribution.
All Singapore companies must meet all of the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:

Singapore companies are to submit their application documents via the following procedures:
- Visit the Business Grants Portal (BGP)
- Apply for "EDG (Co-Innovation Programme)"
- Complete the application form and submit accordingly. Please ensure you have selected the correct CIP Programme in your application.
Singapore companies will need to have the following supporting documents ready as part of the application:
- Project proposal information (refer to this template for required details)
- Latest ACRA business profile (retrieved within six months from application date)
- Applicant’s latest and previous two years audited financial statements (Company and Group level), or official management account
- Relevant key quotations (e.g. equipment and software, materials and consumables, professional services)
The national funding application form, along with the supporting documents, must be completed and submitted by 8 October 2025 to be considered for funding.
