About this programme

The Singapore–China Yangtze River Delta (Zhejiang) Joint Innovation Call is jointly administered by EnterpriseSG and the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology (ZSTD). This programme aims to encourage research and development of innovative products and applications, with commercialisation as the end goal.

Singapore companies keen to embark on joint innovation projects with Zhejiang companies can now receive support by participating in a joint call for proposals for Singapore–Zhejiang technological R&D projects.


About the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology

Under the Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology is responsible for the scientific and technological development of the Zhejiang province, as well as the formulation and implementation of international cooperation plans and exchanges in science and technology.

Eligibility

The project consortium must involve at least one company from Singapore and one company from Zhejiang. Both companies should be independent from each other. Each project partner should contribute no more than 70% of the total project contribution.

All Singapore companies must meet all of the following eligibility criteria in order to apply:

  • Check
    Business entity registered and operating in Singapore
  • Check
    Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership
  • Check
    Company is financially ready to start and complete the project

Applications for the Singapore-China (Zhejiang) Joint Innovation Call are currently closed.

The next call will open in July 2025.

Interested companies can begin looking for partners and/or look through the application instructions below and prepare for project submission ahead of time.

Singapore companies are to submit their application documents via the following procedures:

  1. Visit the Business Grants Portal (BGP)
  2. Apply for "EDG (Co-Innovation Programme)"
  3. Complete the application form and submit accordingly. Please ensure you have selected the correct CIP Programme in your application.

Singapore companies will need to have the following supporting documents ready as part of the application:

  1. Project proposal information (refer to this template for required details)
  2. Latest ACRA business profile (retrieved within six months from application date)
  3. Applicant’s latest and previous two years audited financial statements (Company and Group level), or official management account
  4. Relevant key quotations (e.g. equipment and software, materials and consumables, professional services)

Singaporean applicants must apply by the stipulated deadline via the Business Grants Portal, to be considered for funding.

Concurrently, Zhejiang companies will have to adhere to all application requirements outlined by ZSTD.
