Singapore and Guangdong's economic ties remain strong, with bilateral trade reaching US$15.09 billion in 1H 2026. Guangdong also remained Singapore’s top provincial trading partner in China for the 37th consecutive year in 2025. Building on these longstanding links, the 16th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council (SGCC) meeting was held in Singapore, bringing together over 150 government and business representatives from both sides to explore and deepen bilateral cooperation and growth.
The meeting was co-chaired by Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Mr Ong Ye Kung and Guangdong Governor Mr Meng Fanli.
