About this programme

Organised by 500 Global, the GIA San Francisco Acceleration Programme is designed to help Singapore-based startups in gaining a foothold in San Francisco. It includes the following:

Eight-week virtual programme
In the first two weeks, participating startups will be guided through fundamental concepts to access new markets. The next seven weeks will focus on facilitating startups' understanding of local partners/customers needs to secure early indication of market demand. Participants will attend a series of workshops and masterclasses to develop the necessary skills to gain entry into the US market. In addition, participants will receive individual mentor guidance and participate in virtual networking events with potential partners and customers.

Eight-week in-market immersion (optional)*
Startups will have the opportunity to take up an optional eight-week market immersion to San Francisco, where they can make further connections to potential customers and investors. Participants will also spend the time in San Francisco to test their go-to-market plan with guidance from mentors and 500 Startups.

Startups may apply for the in-market immersion without applying for the virtual programme.

  • Fee for the virtual programme: S$3,000
  • Fee for the in-market immersion: S$7,000
  • Fee for both the virtual programme and in-market immersion: S$8,000
