Overseas missions and trade fairs help companies reach global customers, get feedback on products and services, and learn more about overseas markets. Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs) leading overseas missions and trade fairs can tap the International Marketing Activities Programme (iMAP) to bring SMEs on board to access more markets.
Companies participating in iMAP approved activities will receive support of up to 50% or 70% of eligible core expenses (depending on which country the event is held in) – including exhibition rental space, booth construction, publicity and fair or mission consultancy costs.
TACs interested in organising iMAP activities must fulfil all the following criteria:
The organising TAC is responsible for all expenses related to the activity. The TAC will seek reimbursement for eligible expenses from Enterprise Singapore on behalf of participating companies.
Companies incorporated/registered in Singapore and have at least three of the below core business functions/activities operating within Singapore are eligible to enjoy iMAP support.
Eligible companies participating in iMAP supported business missions or international trade fairs may also apply for Double Tax Deduction for Internationalisation Scheme (DTDi). But participating companies are only allowed to apply for expenses NOT covered by the iMAP grant (e.g. travel and accommodation) for up to two representatives per company.
Enterprise Singapore will not be responsible to participating companies and vendors in the event the organising TAC defaults in making payment to them.
TACs can apply for iMAP funding to support events that fall within the following periods:
Applications can be submitted during the Consolidated Exercise that takes place between August to September annually. Applications not submitted during this period will be treated as ad-hoc submissions.
For Companies (For information)
Companies interested in participating in iMAP supported activities can refer to Enterprise Singapore’s Events Calendar and contact the respective TAC organisers for the latest list of iMAP supported activities.
iMAP operates on a reimbursement basis. Funding will be disbursed through TACs to eligible companies.
1: A TAC will not be eligible for iMAP once it is privatised. TACs are required to notify Enterprise Singapore if there are changes to their organisation or status.
2: TACs who engage outsourced secretariat service may be considered on case-by-case basis.
