A*STAR Partners’ Centre (A*PC)

A*STAR Partners’ Centre (A*PC) is Enterprise Singapore’s Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partner for Suzhou, China.

A*PC is the first overseas presence of Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). Located in the Suzhou Industrial Park, A*PC was launched at the 14th Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council meeting in November 2020.

A*PC serves as a launchpad for Singapore companies into China via Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP).

Spanning 3500 sqm over five levels, A*PC offers laboratory infrastructure and equipment, technology development grant, business development services and network opportunities to accelerate the development of market-fit products for the Chinese domestic market.

A*PC focuses its efforts on three key technology domains: biomedical technology, machine automation, and nanotechnology.

A*PC Innovative Science & Technology Partnership Programme

A*PC is an entity under A*STAR, supported by public and private sector agencies such as the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) and the SIP Administrative Committee. It has built up an extensive network of in-market partners and mentors in China. A*PC’s members can tap this extensive network to move their products and services along the productisation cycle and across industry value chains quickly.

The A*PC Innovative Science & Technology Partnership programme runs twice a year, focusing on the biotechnology (biotech), medical technology (medtech) and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The programme will include:

  • Online Workshops on supporting policies, regulatory framework, funding landscape etc.
  • Hybrid (online and physical) Workshops such as boot camps, roadshows, tech exchange sessions etc.

Participants can then follow-up with A*PC for a China-Singapore Twinning Programme, which will be conducted in phases:

  • Phase 1: Workshops with insights on how to do business in China with China-Singapore SIP Development Group Co. Ltd (CSSD) and A*StartCentral
  • Phase 2: Immersive trip to prospective strategic partners in China (e.g. research institutes, hospitals, clinical resources, contract research organisations (CROs), contract development and manufacturing organisations (CDMOs), MNCs, and innovation centres
  • Phase 3: Network with investors, suppliers and professional service providers
  • Phase 4 (optional): Prepare for grant application, roadshow and pitching
