FAQ: EDGE Grant

  • What is EDGE? 

    EDGE streamlines EDG, MRA and PSG into a single grant, enabling businesses to access support aligned to their needs more seamlessly.

    Businesses can benefit from a simplified and more seamless process when navigating and applying for funding based on their intended activities, such as improving business efficiencies, expanding into a new market, and enhancing digitalisation capabilities, among others.

    EDGE launches on 30 September 2026. Existing grants (EDG, MRA, PSG) remain accessible until launch. More information will be provided at launch.

  • What does EDGE stand for?

    EDGE is not an acronym. EDGE conveys the intent of the support, which is for our enterprises to have an edge over their competitors.

  • Who can apply for EDGE?

    The applicant must be a business entity registered in Singapore with at least 30% Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s) ownership. Other requirements may apply, depending on the supportable activity.

  • What are the supportable projects and/or activities under EDGE?
    Supportable activities include improving business efficiencies, expansion into new markets and enhancement of digitalisation capabilities, among others. Businesses can refer to the list of supportable activities on the EDGE website or BizSG from 30 September 2026 onwards.
  • What is the grant cap for EDGE?

    Under EDGE, each company has an annual grant cap of S$100,000 for all eligible activities, with the cap resetting each year. Within the S$100,000 grant cap, the company can use up to S$30,000 on single-function digital solutions, integrated enterprise systems and selected automation activities. If businesses are unable to find a suitable activity under EDGE, they may approach the SME Centres for business advice, access to relevant toolkits and resources, or referrals to relevant partners, as well as advice on other relevant non-EDGE government support schemes.

  • How long does it take for EDGE applications to be processed?

    The processing duration varies depending on the activity selected. This information can be found either on the EDGE website or BizSG from 30 September 2026 onwards.

  • For application of EDGE, can I engage any vendor, or do I have to choose from a pre-approved list?

    This is dependent on the activity selected. For activities with pre-approved vendors, businesses should choose from the list as they have been assessed for their credibility. For activities where no pre-approved vendor is required, businesses may engage a vendor of their choice.

  • Can I change vendor after I have submitted my EDGE application?

    Change requests are only allowed for changes to project end date and claim due date. Should businesses wish to make any other changes to the project, they should terminate the existing project and submit a new application. Termination of the application can be done on the Business Grants Portal (BGP).

  • I recently applied for EDG, MRA and PSG. What will happen to my application?

    Applications submitted for EDG, MRA, and PSG before 30 September 2026 will continue to be assessed based on the requirements of the relevant scheme. Ongoing projects under these three schemes will not be affected and will be supported until project completion and claim disbursement. After 30 September 2026, no new application will be accepted under these schemes.

    For SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)- supported programmes under the abovementioned grant schemes, employers are required to submit the final claims by 30 November 2026. More details on SFEC can be found here. EDGE will not be supportable under SFEC.

  • Can a business apply for EDGE if it has previously applied for or received funding under EDG, MRA, or PSG?

    Yes, businesses that have previously applied for or received funding under EDG, MRA, or PSG can apply for EDGE.
